workouts this week 04/01-04/05

Happy Friday people! Any plans for the weekend?  Not sure what we’ve got going on here, I just hope there isn’t MORE snow :(

Here’s my last week in workouts!

Monday: 1 mile on the treadmill, wasn’t feeling so hot

monday 1st

Tuesday: 4.1 miles; some elliptical but mostly incline walking on the treadmill (12%)

tuesday 2nd

Wednesday: Rest

Thursday: I was feeling down and bad about myself, and my recent weight gain. But luckily I have some absolutely AMAZING friends out there, that helped cheer me up. Then this happened.

thursday 4th

7.14miles. Boom.

Plus a 600m swim after.

Friday: Well it snowed more… UHG! But I decided to tough it out and be a real Saskatchewan girl and did this….

At least the temperature was more mild than it has been lately. Going against the wind sucked, but with it was a breeze!

Total Miles: 16 (plus 600m swim)

Total Calorie Burn: 1624 (plus an undetermined amount from swimming)

Not too bad of a week. How did your workouts go this week? Any to brag about?

What are some of your most memorable moments of 2012?

Anywhere5K

This week I did not one but TWO Anywhere5K virtual races, more specifically the Super Star Virtual Run.

I love doing these virtual runs. Living in Saskatchewan, we have winter for 6months out of the year, and even during the warmer months there aren’t too many races around here. So it is definitely great motivation to get running in the cooler months. Most races are free, some are a small amount of money but it goes to charity and you also get cool medals (who doesn’t love getting a medal!?)

5K time: 39:05

It was slow, but I did it. No Excuses.

10K time: 1:19:59 PR baby! (took a whole 17 seconds off!)

I also made this amazing fruit salad this week. Holy Yummy.

And other clean eats from the week:

This also happens almost regularly now, and it sort of makes me sad that the warm weather is going away.. Queue Frost.
