Kaela, despite being sick still got a few short workouts in. Any workout is a good workout.
My only Fit from the week was my bike ride from last Monday, it was intense that it has seriously taken me all week just to recover. I guess I should probably ease my way into it!
How did you stay Fit over the weekend? Be sure to send it in next week!
This Fitness Friday I wanted to share with you some of my favourite songs for running! I love them all because they’ve got a good beat and just help to keep my legs moving.
Sound of Sunshine – Michael Franti & Spearhead
Call Me Maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen
One Thing – One Direction
What Makes You Beautiful (One Direction cover) – High Hopes
I’m really into this cover, not sure what about it exactly, but its fantastic. At first I didn’t like the “screaming” parts, but it really grew on me. So give it a chance!
Bigger Than – High Hopes
Side Note: High Hopes is a local band, and my brother is in it. Check out their YouTube page for more of their songs They are also on Facebook. They are playing JunoFest for any readers near Regina, SK. Or anyone out east, Winnipeg to Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, etc. they are coming on tour near you! Another note, the guy with the big ear mods and long hair is not my brother, my brother is the bassist. Ok my shameless plug over.
In other random fitness news, I signed up for my first Duathlon! I’m just going to try out the sprint event, which is 1.5km run, 10km bike, 1.5km run. It’s on May 4th, so not too far away! A little nervous considering how soon it is. Eep! But I’m going to get this racing season off to a good start.
What are some of your favourite running songs?
Don’t forget that Show me your Fit is on Monday, so be sure to send your submission in before Sunday night!!
Thing One: Yesterday I was able to check off one of the items on my 101 in 1001 list. 99.Ride on a city bus. This might seem small to most people, but as a girl living in a small town I never had to ride on a bus, I could walk to school and we would always have to drive into the city. And once I grew up and moved on my own, I just kept driving. So completely out of my comfort zone, I rode the bus to work. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be!
Thing Two: I’m not a coffee drinker, only decaf. But I seen this at the store and had to grab it. I might be wired through the roof today, but maybe it will help me with my studies. haha
Thing Three: I haven’t worked out since Monday, since my 17mile bike ride because it killed me. Sure I was proud and still am proud for doing it, but it was a little too much too soon and I paid for it. Hoping to get in a little run tomorrow morning outside, as long as its not snowing (like it is right now *grr*).
I am sure getting sick of this weather. This picture pretty much sums it up.
How is the weather where you are? Hopefully nicer than here, and if so, please send it my way.kthanks.
