Ask me about my Bits

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a fantastic week. I just wanted to stop by and share some info with you today about ENERGYbits. As you may know, I am a Brand Ambassador and I personally use ENERGYbits and I absolutely love the product.

Here’s a few answers to some questions you might be having:

How many do you take? Take 30 bits/serving. Before you gasp in horror, remember that these algae tabs are FOOD, not pills. Think of them as you would nuts. You wouldn’t just eat one nut if you were hungry, would you? (unless you were the Target lady off SNL lol) But no, you would likely have a handful. Or, you could have a handful of 30 algae bits, for just 30 calories. With algae you also get protein, 40 nutrients and vitamins. You can chew or shallow your bits but either way, the more you take, the better you will feel. (I highly recommend shallowing the bits rather than chewing)

Why do I need to take so many? Because they are tiny. That’s why we call them “Bits”. Again, they are bits of food, not pills. And like we said, you don’t eat just one nut at a time do you? Think of them as a “bit” of a low calorie, high protein meal or snack.

What do they taste like? “Green” and a bit like nuts. We’re not actually sure if “green” is a flavour but our BITS taste green. And it’s because they have the highest concentration of chlorophyll in the world (five times more than wheat grass). ENERGYbits and SKINNYbits both have a higher concentration of protein than our other BITS as well as some Omega-3 type fats in them, so they are “chewier” than our RECOVERYbits or VITALITYbits and may even stick to your teeth a bit. But if they stick, it only lasts a few seconds and when you swish with water, it will be gone.

When do you take them? Anytime! Take them morning, noon and night. Take them all day or all night. You can take them alone or if you take them before meals, you will not only eat less, but they will aid your digestion. But since the BITS do different things, here’s an easy rule of thumb:

RECOVERYbits – Take during the evening or before bed and AFTER drinking alcohol.

ENERGYbits – Take during the day and BEFORE or during any athletic activity.

VITALITYbits and SKINNYbits – Take any time of day or night

What’s in them? One ingredient – Algae. That’s it. Nothing else! No sugar, no caffeine  no gluten, no additives, no GMO, no preservatives, no binders, nothing artificial, nothing added, nothing subtracted. Just 100% algae. 100% green, 100% healthy, 100% raw, 100% pure, organic. Straight from Mother Nature.

Show me your Fit #11

I’m sad the weekend is over! Beautiful weather happening in Saskatoon right now. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I spoiled my mom on Saturday and took her out for supper, it was nice to spend time and visit with her. My niece also said ‘mom’ for the first time on Sunday, so that definitely made my sister’s Mothers day that much more special!

It’s Show me your Fit #11, let’s see how these ladies are staying Fit,

Becky – ran her first non-obstacle race, a 5K fun run on Saturday

Becky 5K fun run

Walking lunges (10 lb medicine ball): 3 sets X 20

Leg raises: 3 sets X 30

Side planks: 1:00

Friday morning I ran 5 K. My goal is to do it in 30 minutes or less.. soo close! Maybe next time if I can manage to NOT get a side stitch for once. If anyone has any tips on how to prevent a side stitch from occurring, I would love to hear them. They are such a pain!

Anyone have tips on how to prevent a side stitch while running?

Two PRs in Two Days

Oh what a lovely Saturday! I love the weekend.

So yesterday I went for a long-ish run. 7 miles. I could have ran longer but I was wearing my one pair of Vibrams and my feet were getting very sore, and there was one spot rubbing which was driving me crazy the whole time. Although I am very glad I found this out BEFORE the half marathon where I wanted to wear them. Now it is operation find new shoes! Might have to check out those New Balance ones again.

My run again was powered by bits, and man oh man do I love that product. I feel so good when running and could run forever. The 5K I ran on Wednesday I didn’t walk at all, and this 7 miler I only had to walk up a few hills.  THIS is a huge improvement for me, I used to have to walk sooo much! I’m crediting energybits, because how else is this possible? Unless I’m just that awesome.. but I don’t think its that :P

So I also have another brag. I PR’d my 10K time during my run yesterday. Took 3 minutes off! Say whaaat? Two PR’s in two days? Feeling so good!  Half marathon, bring it on.

Anyways, I’m out, gotta get this day going. Today I plan to check out some shoes, do 75 squats and then go spend some time with my mommy.

What are your plans for the weekend? Any Mother’s day plans?

Don’t forget to send in your Show me your Fit by tomorrow night!
