This past week on the workout front:
As you know last Sunday I ran my first half marathon. Boom.
I took most of the week off for recovery. By Wedneday I had zero sore muscles. Woohoo to speedy recovery.
Friday: Bike ride, 40minutes, 10km. Level: Easy
Saturday: Bike ride, 30minutes, 11km. Level: Moderate. Weights: Military Press 20lbs 4×10, Dumbbell Row 10lbs 3×15, Squat 20lbs 3×10
Sunday: quads and hams were screaming at me from yesterdays bike ride, and there was 50km/h winds happenin today, so I took a rest.
But I did make some tasty zucchini chips this weekend.
Recipe inspired from The Fitnessista
only thing I didn’t add was the parsley, because I didn’t have any.
Randomness:
I’ve decided that I will be running the Saskatchewan Marathon half again next year, with a new goal.
Also, I had the crazy idea to go to Regina next year and run the Queen City half marathon with Erin, seeing that its sold out this year. boo.
I’ve also added a couple races to my bucket list, like the Walt Disney World Marathon (half of course) and any Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series race. Especially the Strip at Night in Las Vegas.
I’m jealous that Erin ran the Disney Princess Half Marathon earlier this year.
What are destination race you have on your bucket list?

if I were to ever decide to train for a marathon, I would do the Woody’s half marathon here in Red Deer and would also love to do a Disney one or the Vegas one, same as you!
Disney would be the MOST fun, plus it gives me an excuse to go to Disney which i’ve ALWAYS wanted to do, I just want to be a big kid there.
The QCM is going to be so fun next year! And Disney is so amazing. I want to do another Run Disney event so bad. The tinkerbell one looks good. We can do a Disney one together too!
i’m crazy excited for QCM even though its more than a year away, i’m such a dork.
Disney would be saaaweeet.
